Camping in Elk County

Friday, we headed north with Grandma and Rick to his camp in Weedville, PA (Cameron County). When we arrived, it was dark, cold and raining. Rick opened up the cabin and began to start the fire in the wood burner. He couldn't get a fire going, and after the 2nd attempt the whole place was a smoke bomb. We opened all the doors and windows and left to go for a drive to let the cabin clear out. When we came back it had cleared some, but was still smokey. At this point it was close to midnight and we called it a night. Saturday was absolutely gorgeous. It was sunny and sorta warm. We went for walks, Elk spotting (We even got to see a bull, but didn't get a picture because it was too dark. Ben was in his glory!) , drove in the mountains (so awesome), Ben was teaching Lukas how to shoot his 22 (and Kelly even shot a couple rounds), cooked out on the open fire, played in the creek, and lots more. Sunday, we made breakfast, Mom, Kelly and Landon went to the top of the mountain and to a cute gift shop, Ben and Rick fixed the chimney and it was very clogged. The boys did very well on the 3 hour drive and we had know problems getting them to go to bed. They were so exhausted by 9pm every night. Landon even learned a new word this weekend "hot dog". He was saying it all the time and it sounds so cute when he says it. We all had such a great weekend! The mountains were absolutely gorgeous! Thanks again Rick for letting us stay at your camp=]
