Christmas morning

Lukas and Landon were extremely tired this morning. Landon got up first and we all had to wake Lukas up. Lukas was extremely excited and Landon was in between. Landon woke up with a runny nose and a slight cough, so that didn't help. We thought he did extremely well under the circumstances. Lukas is an opening maniac and Landon takes his time ripping the paper. Then once he gets it open, he wants to play with it. If it's clothes, he doesn't even bother to look at them and moves on to the toys. It is hilarious. Santa was very good to the boys this year. After Lukas opened all his gifts, he said "But Santa didn't bring me the Walle Wii game". Ben and I said "Wait a minute, but Santa brought you all these other gifts. Remember we told you Santa doesn't bring you everything on your list." Then he said (with a pouty) "I know". Oh kids!

My mom came over late morning with her gifts for the boys. She figured since the boys are getting older, this will make it easier and they can stay at home longer and play with their new toys.

Well here are some pictures from this morning. We'll be going to my Dad's tonight.

We hope everyone and their families are having a merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve

Around 6:00 we started to get ready for Christmas Eve church service. This is my favorite part of Christmas. It's been a tradition in my family since I was little, and now we do this with our children. Lukas was extremely well at the church service and Ben and Landon left a little early. It was to long of a service for him. Lukas did communion and held his own candle during the candle light service. He did get a little bit of wax on his pants.

The best part of Christmas Eve is going over to my Nanny and Pappap's house to eat and open gifts with the family. Our family is so blessed that they're still in our lives to carry on this tradition. We had a wonderful family evening and we didn't leave there until midnight.

Nanny even broke down and bought Ben a Notre Dame sweatshirt. Yes, this broke her heart. Ben is very appreciate of her and knows how hard this was for her. For those of you who don't know, my Nanny is a huge Pitt fan and hates Notre Dame. Ben told her that we'll be down her place to watch Pitt vs. Notre Dame next year at her house. I told him not to push his luck. LOL!

Thanks everyone for all the great memories and gifts. We are so blessed to part of a wonderful family!

When we got home, the boys wanted to get a bath and then Lukas had to put out it his cookies, milk, and reindeer food out for Santa. He put it on his TV tray. It was so cute watching him set everything up.

Merry Christmas to All...And to All a good night!

Friends home for the Holidays

Yesterday, Brad and Vicky came over to visit. They are home from Alaska for Christmas. It was so nice of them to take time out of their hectic schedule to visit with us. We went to Dommy's for dinner then went back to our house. They gave the boys presents and we had a couple drinks and played some Wii. We all had a great time and it was wonderful to spend an evening with them. We sure do miss them:( Thanks Brad and Vicky!

Christmas party!

We had our Christmas gathering with friends and family on Saturday. It is so great to have Mike home and here for all the holiday gatherings. Hopefully, we'll have Logan and Talon home for Christmas next year. We had a lot of fun and Lukas and Landon got lots of great gifts. Lukas got his doctor set from Grandma! Landon was really into opening his gifts, especially when he saw that it was Thomas the Train stuff. Here are some photos from the night. What a great way to start all the festivities. Thanks everyone for the gifts! We love you all...Mwah:)

Kelly's Birthday

My 29th birthday was fantastic!

Landon actually slept through the night and I got a good nights rest. This started my morning off to a great start. I wish he'd do this every night!

When I got to work, Nena gave me a card with a gift card and also got me a cake. Then at lunch-time, Her and Mike took me out to Max & Erma's. Around 4:30, Ben and the boys surprised me at work and took me to dinner at Red Lobster. I surely was surprised and we had a wonderful dinner. Both boys were on their best behavior. I was so proud of them.

I had an absolutely wonderful day and want to thank everyone for sending cards, gifts and birthday wishes.

Love,
~Kelly Jo~

Letter to Santa

Lukas is super excited about Christmas this year. I know we say this every year, but we seriously think this year he's been the most excited. He wanted to write a Christmas list and we had to go to the red mailbox at Macy's. Of course he saw the commercial on TV. So this morning, we got up and went to have breakfast with Santa at AVH. Then, we headed to the Mills to go to Macy's.

Cub Scouts

Tonight I took Lukas to sign up for Cub Scouts. We got a note sent home from school this week and Lukas really wanted to join. His group is "Lion Cubs". I registered him and we actually stayed for a meeting tonight. He made a cute Christmas ornament and I got to talk to the Cub Leader about what they will be doing in scouts. Lukas was extremely excited because there was three kids there that are in his kindergarten class. Meetings are every Thursday from 6:30 - 7:30. Ben and are so excited that he joined Cub Scouts!

Bath Dropz

Landon and I were out shopping today and when we were at Michael's I found bath dropz. They used to be called bath tints when Lukas was younger. The are color dots that you drop in the water and they make vibrant colors. Lukas loved these when he was younger and I thought Landon would enjoy them too since he loves bath-time. It sure was a big hit with both boys tonight. Lukas thought it was SO COOL! We even did experiments to make different colors. Lukas was more excited than when did this when he was about 2 years old.

Landon got out of the tub first and said "Pee". I looked at him and said "in the potty". I got him the stool and sure enough he got up on it and started to pee! I couldn't believe it. Lukas and I were so excited. Of course he had to flush the toilet when he was done. He's been flushing the toilet for a least a month now. Lukas taught him how to do this so he would flush for him. We always have to watch what he puts in the toilet. I really wasn't going to start training him until he was 2, but we're all surprised that he did it by himself. Great job Landon!

Trimming our tree

After a late dinner, we trimmed our tree. Lukas was overly excited going through all the ornaments and actually hung some on the tree this year. Landon was very helpful with taking the lights and ornaments off. LOL! I forgot about putting the lights and ornaments that low. Last year he wasn't even walking at this time. We also got Landon his "Second Christmas" ornament that goes with his collection.

Yay...we are officially decorated for Christmas!
