Happy 9th Birthday, LUKAS!

Lukas's birthday actually fell on a Wednesday this year. First time it wasn't over Memorial Day. To make his day special, I (mommy) took him for Dairy Queen after we had dinner. Little did he know that I sneaked a candle and lighter. He was so embarrassed that he made us go back to the car. LOL! After we had ice cream, I took them to the park to play.

Our little boy is growing up way too fast.

Spring Family Camp

We went to camp for the weekend (May 17-19) with our cub scout pack. This time one of the families went up really early and got us a camp site (Wolf Site). It was so nice to be secluded from all the Packs. All the boys wanted to do was fish, fish ... fish! We did take them to see the emergency helicopter land in the field and they loved it. It was a great weekend for camp - beautiful weather!

Kindergarten Kick-Off

Landon was invited to "Kindergarten Kick-Off" at his school which was tonight from 5:30- 6:30.

This is a wonderful program our school puts together. You arrive and they give the student a name tag with a number. The number tells you which group you are with. You visit about 7 stations and before you leave that station they give each student a "present" to take home. It a great way to break the ice for the children and they get to meet the teachers.

He did so well at each station. He was very shy at first, but towards the end he was acting like himself. At the very last station, they had to take everything out of their bags and they got markers to draw on their bags. They had to follow the teacher's instructions. One of the directions was to draw your favorite food above your name. She asked Landon what his favorite food was and he said "chicken nuggets". He drew a bunch of nuggets above his name. The teacher came back around and said "Landon, your nuggets look delicious. They are making me hungry." Landon replies "Well, they would be better if they were brown." He has everyone laughing. Seriously, this boy is too much!

He brought home:
Scissors
Glue stick
Playdough
Magnet alphabet letters (Upper and Lowercase)
String kit with beads (to make patterns)
Crayons
Markers
Book (He got to choose a scholastic book of his choice)

We can't believe our baby boy is off to ALL DAY KINDERGARTEN this Fall!!!
