Easter at Grams

We celebrated Easter at Grandma & Pappy Ricks this afternoon. This really worked out well and will make this holiday a lot less stressful. After the church Easter party, we headed to their house for an early dinner. After dinner, we had an egg hunt for the kids. WOW...two egg hunts in one day for these special boys! We had a really great day.

In the last picture, our oldest nephew, Zach, made each boy give him an egg to get in the house. No egg, no entering! He's too much:)

LFUMC Easter Party

We went to our church Easter party this morning. The boys had so much fun! Landon really enjoyed the activity stations this year. He made a butterfly and wreath. Lukas colored a two sided bookmark and made a wreath, too.

The weather was cold and rainy, so they had the egg hunt inside again. A little girl in our church made two special prizes and whoever found the two eggs with a special note had to go and see her after everyone was finished finding the eggs. Lukas found so many eggs that they kept falling out of his basket. He opened his fourth egg and started yelling, "I got a note; I got a note". He found the girl and she gave him a big easter bucket full of all kinds of goodies. He was so excited! Lukas always wins something from the Easter party. He's such a sweet brother and shared his gift with Landon.

We all had a great time!

Tooth #6

This morning while Lukas was eating breakfast, he lost his 6th tooth! It made our morning a little hectic, but we still take the time to capture these milestones. Lukas said to us "I look like a Jack-o-lantern!" before he left for school.

Raingutter Regatta

Tonight was Lukas's Pack Raingutter Regatta. He raced about 5 times and won every time. This year they let the siblings race. Lukas helped Landon race and they won twice. It was a lot of fun!

Hoot, Howls, Hooves & Habitats

From 10am – 3:00 we attended the Cub Scout Winter event at Crooked Creek horse park. What a fun-filled packed day. We got to watch Lukas do sling shot, archery, and sled race. We all got to meet Klif the police dog which was our favorite event of the day. Detective Heider put on an awesome presentation. The boys couldn't stop talking about them all day. We also got to meet wildbirds of Pennsylvania and Lukas will be able to earn his Wild Life Conservation Belt Loop. He just has a report to do to finish that part of the section. Lukas learned about taking care of horses. He got to brush, clean their hooves and measure a miniature horse. He also got his face painted like an indian and made a cute pin, too! It was a little cold, but we really had a great time.

DR. SEUSS

Beloved children's book author Dr. Seuss would have turned 108 today!

It was Dr. Seuss day at Lukas's school and they did all kinds of stuff involving Dr. Seuss. They even had green eggs and ham for lunch. We have many of his books in our library. Landon picked out "Green Eggs and Ham" and wanted Lukas to read it to him.

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss!
