Swimming Lessons

We signed Lukas up for swimming lessons. He is going for two weeks (July 24 – Aug 5) every evening after the pool closes. We didn't sign him up last year because it was a handful dragging Landon along and keeping him out of the pool. Landon will be able to take lessons next year. He was a little upset, but is being amazingly great about it.

Lukas is doing really great and remembers so much from two Summers ago. Landon is also very well behaved this year. He takes a little toy (usually legos) with him and is very content watching Lukas and the other kids.

Tonight, they had the kids jump off the diving boards, in the 11', and encouraged them swim to the ladder all by themselves. Here's a clip of him at lessons tonight. Enjoy!

APACHE Helicopter

A couple weeks ago we went to see an apache helicopter up close and watch it take off. They did a little show for us:)
This is Ben's favorite helicopter and he was more excited than the boys. So neat!

Lukas & Mommy Day

Lukas and Kelly went to Kennywood today with Great Nanny, Nanny, Aunt Kristy, Uncle Jeff, Aunt Lee Ann and Ashlynn. We thought Landon was still too young to really enjoy Kennywood. They have some rides in Kiddie Land, but it's not as much as Idlewild. Lukas and Ashlynn didn't even step foot in Kiddie Land this year. We had a great time even in the 90 degree heat. Lukas rode the raging rapids for the first time and he loved it so much that when we got off, we got right back in line. On our second ride, Great Nanny got us with the water gun:) We were all soaked! That was his favorite ride of the day. We made many great memories at Kennywood this year. We are really looking forward to next year...Landon should be tall enough to ride more than the kiddie rides:)

This was a first for the two of them to be at Kennywood together!
It was a very special day for Kelly.

Landon & Daddy Day

Ben and Landon went to the Pittsburgh Zoo today with Grandma, Rick and Talen. Landon got to see the baby tigers:) He was so excited! Grandma bought him some nice gifts from the gift shop and they stopped to eat at Max & Ermas for dinner. Ben had a really great day with Landon!

Cars 2

This afternoon, we took the boys to see Cars 2. Lukas has been asking to go and since it was so hot today, we thought it was a perfect day to go. We all loved it! I'm sure it's going to be on one of their Christmas lists. If you have little ones, we definitely recommend going to see it!

CAMP

Last week we went to Camp Moser. The last time we went to camp, it was in the Fall. It was really nice this time because the boys spent most of their time swimming in the creek. They really loved it! We also took Lukas's BB gun and they had so much fun shooting at cans, bottles and paper plates. It turns out that Lukas shoots left handed and he has a right handed gun. We were amazed how well he was doing. Can't wait to see how he does when we get him a left handed gun. We also found a lizard, lots of cray fish, a very tiny, baby toad and took a drive to look for Elk. We had so much fun exploring and tubing in the creek!

It was a great three day getaway. It's so beautiful and peaceful in the mountains!

Happy 4TH of JULY!

We spent the day at a friend's house.
Great food, great company and lots of swimming!
We hope everyone had a safe and wonderful 4th of July weekend!

A night at Grandma's

After the fair, we went to Grandmas to spend the night. We had a cookout and they had all kinds of sparklers and little fire works (snaps, worms, tanks, and bright fizz caps) for the kids. When it got really dark, Matt's friend (Bundy), set off a really big fireworks display. We had a very fun-filled day!

Ben and the boys even slept in the tent! In the morning, the boys were playing outside. Here's a picture of Landon with Talen's truck and Lukas riding his bike. Notice he's learned how to "stand up" while riding! Way to go Lukas:)

Big Butler Fair

Saturday afternoon, we headed to the Big Butler Fair. The first thing Lukas wanted was a fresh lemonade. We got one for the boys to share, then we went on a hunt to find something delicious fair food. After we finished lunch, we headed over to the grand stand to watch the truck pulls and root on TEAM MOSER! There we met up with Uncle Mike, Megan, Tyler, Mike, Ashly, Grandma and Rick. The boys were getting antsy, so after we watched Matt we took them to play some games and walk around to see the horses. Landon was so excited and wanted to pet every horse. I had to post the picture of the horse with the blue gear. Lukas shouted out "Look, it's a ninja horse!" He had us all laughing. One lady said that was the best thing she heard all day. LOL!

The first game we let Lukas play was the knife ring toss. He hooked a knife and got to keep it. We couldn't believe it. Next, we let Landon play the duck pond and he won a blue ball. We also let them play the fish bowl toss and sure enough Landon got his ball in bowl and won a gold fish. We were shocked and didn't think that was going to happen. He named his fish "Blue" and he lives at Grandma's house. We had a lot of fun!
