Last Day of School!

Today, was Lukas's last day of first grade! He brought all kinds of stuff home. Many goodies from his teacher and lots of paperwork, projects, and art pieces he did throughout the year. His teacher also sent home activities for him to practice during the Summer. He also said that his class made ice cream today! She sent home the recipe, so we'll have make some soon.

The Vandergrift Pool sponsored a "Kick of Summer" event and after I got home from work, the boys I and headed to the pool for an hour and a half. Lukas was so excited to go and swim with his friends. He was so excited that he was the first one outside and opened up all the car doors for us. He thought it would get us there faster! When we got there, a bunch of boys were yelling out his name. It was a little strange to see all of this and to watch him run off with his friends. He's getting so big!

I went through his book bag tonight and took some pictures of his first grade work that he brought home. Lukas, you did an exceptional job this year. We are SUPER PROUD of you!
Good Luck next year in 2nd grade...we know you'll do great!

Summer has officially begun!
