Today, we went to Ben's company picnic (United Steel Workers) at Idlewild. We thought we were going to get rained out, but it turned out to be nice day. This year, we decided to skip Story Book Forest and Soak Zone. Lukas said that all he wanted to do was "RIDE"...so that's what we did!
The first ride we rode was the balloon ride. We all got to ride it together:) Surprisingly, Landon was able to ride a lot of the "big" rides this year. He rode the big Ferris Wheel and even rode the Rollo Coaster! Yes, that's right. We couldn't believe it either. It's a 900 foot wooden coaster. They took a picture going down the first hill, and after the ride you can look at them and have the option to purchase it. Well, by Landon's expression, you'd think that he was terrified on the ride. Lukas couldn't stop laughing and wanted to buy it, but we passed. He didn't cry, but seemed a little shocked. After we got off, he said that he liked it and wanted to do it again. After he rode that roller coaster, he was a riding maniac. We took them to Raccoon Lagoon twice and they rode all the rides 2 or 3 times, we rode the train, and took them to Jumpin' Jungle twice and rode all the rides they were big enough for in Olde Ildewild.
We had so much fun this year. Lukas was ready to leave by 7pm and we had to carry Landon out kicking and screaming "I don't wanna leave"!
