7 Year Check-up

Lukas went for his 7 year check-up today.

He is 47 3/4 inches tall and weighs 43.2 pounds. He's a little below average in weight for his age.

He grew 2 1/2 inches and gained 3.2 pounds from last year. He's average in height for his age.

He had to get one shot today in his upper arm. He said that it hurt, but didn't cry.

Our first born is getting so big!

Sandy Pond, NY

The boys and I went on vacation (August 13 – 20th) to Sandy Pond, New York. Ben wasn't able to trade his vacation week so he wasn't able to go. We went with my Mom, Sister, Nanny, Pappap, Uncle John, Aunt Eileen and Ashlynn. Aunt Lee Ann surprised us on Thursday night:)

We had beautiful weather and had so much fun. Lukas went last year with everyone and showed Landon and I the ropes:) Landon did exceptionally well on the 8 hour drive. My sister and I taught the boys how to get 18 wheelers to honk. Lukas really got a kick out of this! It always make the drive more interesting. Landon slept off and on and Lukas only slept a little bit on the way home.

OUR VACATION
We went to the BEACH four days. We would ride the PONTOON over to the beach. The boys loved the boat! They looked so cute in their life jackets. All the kids loved the water and sand! We made sandcastles, rode the waves on the boogie boards, played with splash-balls in the water and really enjoyed the sun! We all came home with great tans. Lukas got to go FISHING with Uncle John. They only caught two, but he had fun! My mom, sister and I went KAYAKING. It was my first time and I loved it:) We went to SALMON RIVER FALLS. This place was really neat and the falls were beautiful. The kids had so much fun writing their names on the rocks and putting their feet in the water. We went out to dinner a couple nights. Played BOARD GAMES in the evenings. We loved watching the SUN SETS. We spent an entire day in ALEXANDRIA BAY. We looked through all the small shops. We bought some souveniours to remember our trip. We took the UNCLE SAM BOAT TOURS touring in the heart of the 1000 ISLANDS on the St Lawrence River. The boat made a stop at the BOLDT CASTLE and you could pay extra fees to do self-guided tour. My mom, sister, kids and I got off to do the tour. We loved it! It was absolutely amazing. Even the kids really enjoyed it. After our tour of the castle, we got back on the boat and met up with the rest of the family in downtown Alexandria Bay and went to dinner at the RIVER HOUSE RESTAURANT.

It was so WONDERFUL to go on vacation with our family.

They are the best and we are blessed!

We made Ben his favorite cake.

The boys had to surprise him with the candles and singing to him. It wasn't much, but it sure did make him feel very special. It's the little moments that are so special and memorable.

Lukas's last swim lesson

Tonight was Lukas's last swimming lesson.

He did very well! We are so very proud:)

Swim Lessons

Friday at swimming lessons they tested all the kids. He did everything on his own without lifeguard assistance. They had the kids swim from one end to another (about 15 yards). Lukas made it all the way! He will move up to level 3 next year! Ben was even able to go with us because he had this Saturday off. Of course, he let Landon go in the baby pool with his clothes on. This never would happen with Mommy in charge:) We are so proud of you Lukas. Great Job Buddy!!
