Sibling Rivalry
Well, the last couple days Landon started something new...BITING! It all started the other day. Lukas and Landon were having one of their fights and Lukas smacked Landon on the back. Landon immediately turned and latched on to Lukas' foot. I was standing right there so he didn't do it very long. When I came home from work today, Lukas ran to me and said "Mommy, guess what Landon did today?" He had bright red teeth marks on his arm. Everyone told me that the second child usually bites. I'm actually surprised that he started this late. Yay...the terrible two's have arrived!!!

Round 2!
Well, sure enough at 5am this morning Landon woke up puking. This is his first time with this experience. He caught the viral stomach bug from Lukas. I already had Lukas in bed with me, so I decided to take Landon to bed with us. This way I could watch and help them hit the bucket. Ben is back on 12-8 so he was at work while all of this was going on. At 7:30, Landon got up again gagging and sure enough that made Lukas gag. Now that I look back on it, it was quite comical. Landon was using the bucket first and Lukas said "Mommy, I think I have to throw up" and I told him to get over the bucket with Landon. Well, Landon was not happy. He was throwing up and hitting Lukas on the head. Poor Lukas had to take the abuse till they were both done. It was very challenging. I don't think I'll ever forget it. When Ben got home at 8:30, I left for work. I called him a few times from work to check on the boys. He had a very busy/challenging day with boys. Lukas threw up another time and refused to take Pepto-Bismol and his pedialyte. Landon continued to vomit throughout the day and had a horrendous case of diarrhea. Ben explained to me that it was the worst diaper he's had to change in 6 years. Thankfully, Lukas doesn't have diarrhea. When I got home from work, Ben had Landon in a diaper with a pull-up on top. He said it was so bad that every time he'd go it would leak out his diaper and he needed the extra protection. The boys didn't really eat dinner for me. They seemed to be doing much better this evening. Lukas threw up again right before his bath, so we are making him stay home from school again tomorrow and his soccer practice. I bribed him into taking a Pepto-bismol tablet and a little pedialyte (Looks like he'll be sleeping with Mommy again:-). Landon was doing much better this evening. He hadn't threw up all evening and I only had to change one stinky diaper. I hope he does well through the night. If Lukas continues to throw up tomorrow, we are going to call the doctor. Poor boy has been doing this since Saturday evening. I can't wait for him to be himself again.

One sick child
Saturday evening around 7:30 Lukas was complaining about his stomach hurting. Exactly 3 minutes later, he threw up all over the living room floor. My poor boy was standing there in shock. I took him and put him in the bathroom and told him if he had to do it again to do it in the toilet. Landon rushed in to tell me that there was a mess on the floor. I told Lukas to stay in the bathroom until I had everything cleaned up. When I went back into the bathroom, Lukas looked up at me and said "Mommy, I don't like this feeling." I never felt so helpless as a mother. After I got everything cleaned up, I got Lukas situated on the couch. Shortly after, more came up. This is the second time that Lukas has vomited and the first time that he has ever been this sick. He has no energy and has been lying around in our bed watching cartoons and dozing off here and there. Our poor baby boy...we hope he feels better soon!

Lazy weekend
This weekend it rained and the weather dropped down into the 30's....brrrrr! Lukas had his soccer game early Saturday morning and it was freezing. Ben had to take Landon to the truck. Lukas walked over and told me that he wanted to go home. We left the game 15 minutes early. When we got home, Landon crawled up on the couch with me and we took a little nap together. Landon hasn't been napping the last few weeks, but it was just one of those days. I could have crawled in bed under the nice warm sheets and stayed there all day. Today (Sunday), Lukas and I went to Sunday School and Church. When we got home, I made grilled cheese and tomato soup for lunch. That really hit the spot on another cold day. Now we are just hanging at home keeping warm. We can't wait for the weather to get nice and warm again.

New fire pit
I forgot to post this a couple weeks ago. We got a new fire pit over the Easter weekend and had our friends Mindy and Teets over one evening to cook out (with mountain pies and hot dogs) and have a few drinks. They brought their two dogs, Meka and Marlee, with them. The boys love playing with their dogs. I got a picture of them laying on the ground watching the boys run around with flash lights. It was one of those precious moments. Easter weekend was wonderful and we had so much fun with our great friends. We're excited to have "fire" weather again!!

Afternoon with Nanny
This afternoon, the boys and I rode with my mom and Jade to Derek's barn. Well her barn now. It was an interesting trip on the way. Lukas decided to go through the diaper bag and found the bottle of sunscreen. My mom and I looked at each other and I looked back and Lukas was rubbing it all over his hands and face. I don't even know why he did it, nor did he. Needless to say, when we arrived he was complaining about his right eye burning. He had been rubbing his eye after he put lotion on his hands. My mom took him into Derek's Aunt Virgina's house and had to flush his eye out with cold water. I don't think he'll ever do that again. Ahh...kids.
The boys had so much fun running in the fields. Sure enough Jade rubbed her head in something muddy and very stinky. Why do dogs like to do this? Anyway, Lukas spotted train tracks below the barn, so we lead them down to walk on the train tracks. Lukas thought it was so much fun. Landon was having so much fun trying to keep up with Jade. We had a great Sunday afternoon:-)

1st Soccer game!
Team (minus 1 player)
Go, Luke, Go!
This morning was Lukas' 1st soccer game. It was very chilly, so we decided to leave Landon at my Mom's house. When we got to the soccer fields, I was so glad we left him with her. It was very cold because of the wind. Hopefully next Saturday is much warmer. Well, Lukas' U6 team color is purple and he is #5! We weren't too thrilled about the color, but there's nothing we can do about it. Lukas actually doesn't mind the color. Lukas was picked as one of the team captains today to do the coin toss and was one of the first three to start the game. It was so exciting to watch our child play his first sport. We had so much fun cheering him and his team on. They were much better than we thought, since they only had two practices. They did really good in the beginning of the game and it was tied 1-1. The green team got a few goals on them and we lost track after their fifth goal. We think the final score was 7-2, but not really sure. We know that our team got 2 goals. At this point, it doesn't matter who wins the game. It's all about having fun and Lukas sure did have a blast. He told us on the way home "I'm going to try to do better next game" and we said "you did great buddy, practice makes perfect." It was so sweet. I did get a couple videos, but I think they are too long and big to upload. I may try, but I can't promise anything. We are super proud of you Lukas... great 1st game! XoXo~Mommy & Daddy

Easter @ Nanny & Pappap's
This afternoon, the boys and I went to my Nanny and Pappap's house for Easter dinner. Ben is going back to work tonight, so he stayed home to catch some ZZZzzz's. It's going to be quite a change around our house now that Ben is returning to work. The boys and I are so used to having him home the last 6 months. He said he really missed out on a lot today. It was so great to be with our family all afternoon and evening. We had another Easter egg hunt after dinner. The boys got so much money and candy. Landon was very picky about which eggs he picked. He knew which ones had the change in them and would yell "money" every time. It was priceless. The weather was absolutely gorgeous this weekend. We made so many memories this weekend that we'll cherish forever.
After we got home, the boys got ready for bed and we had a surprise visit from Pappy Sam and Angie. They brought the boys Easter baskets with more candy! We have candy coming out the wazoo!! It was great to visit with them.
Our family is very blessed!
EASTER
Lukas woke up at 7:30 this morning and I told him not to wake his brother up. He said, "but Mommy, the Easter bunny came". I told him to let Landon sleep since he was so tired from yesterday and I didn't want to get up either. Landon woke up around 9:00 and when we went downstairs Lukas said he knew where the baskets were hidden. His was behind the big chair. He didn' t even get it out until we came down. Ben and I were impressed. When he did get it out Landon wanted everything in his basket. Lukas said "I know where your basket is" and lead him to the bathroom where his was hidden in with the towels. They both got soccer balls, candy, jelly beans, and toy story coloring/water paint books. They were overly excited!! After they played for a while, we all got ready for church. The boys were so handsome in their little Easter suits. Of course, we got lots of compliments this morning. Landon didn't even want to take his off when we got home. We were also so proud of Landon today. He did extremely well sitting through the church service. We had a very blessed Easter!
Happy Easter Everyone:-)

Easter @ Grandma's
Above Pic: Landon was walking back to the house, dragging his basket, and leaving an egg trail behind him...LOL!
This afternoon we went to Rick's house for Easter dinner with Grandma, Rick, Uncle Mike, Zack, Matt, and Uncle Doug. We had an egg hunt for the boys. We have really been enjoying this gorgeous weather this weekend. Both boys got a little sun burn on their faces even with the sunscreen. The boys got to drive Rick's tractor. Landon wasn't very thrilled about it, but after he realized it wasn't going to kill him he didn't want to get off. Most of the evening was spent with Uncle Mike riding Lukas around in a wagon hooked up to the tractor and Landon holding on the back of the wagon pushing. LOL! It was so funny watching them. At one point, Ben told Mike to speed up and Landon was practically running. He was loving it. He was laughing so hard as he was running. Don't worry, he only did it fast for a couple minutes. Needless to say, he fell asleep before it got dark outside. Before we left, the boys rode the tractor again with Grandma. They couldn't get enough of it! We all had a great time today. Thanks Grandma & Rick!!
