This afternoon we colored our Easter eggs. We have a busy week ahead of us so we decided to do them today. The weather was rainy and cold so it worked out great and gave us something to do. Lukas was a little upset because we usually do themed egg coloring, but this year I told him we were going to do the basic/traditional coloring because the others were too hard for Landon. We argued in the store for about 5 minutes and needless to say, Mommy won! After lunch, I cleared the table and got everything set up. The boys were right there with me being very impatient. I let them put the tablets in the cups and I poured the vinegar. I turned my head for not even a second and Landon took a sip of vinegar off his spoon. I told him he's not suppose to drink that and I think he knew right away as he was wiping his tongue. LOL! I had to call Ben to come help. This is the first year that he was actually involved with the coloring process and he was loving it. Lukas did extremely well and didn't need my help at all. He's such a big boy...sniff, sniff! As we finished coloring them, Landon wanted to keep touching them and I wouldn't let him and had a melt down. He got banned from coloring and time-out. Lukas and I finished the last couple eggs and cleaned up. I had the eggs on the dining room table to dry and went on doing other things around the house. I went upstairs to get the sheets off our bed to wash them and when I went back down stairs, Landon had thrown the eggs all over the floor. 85% were cracked! I couldn't believe my eyes. As I was picking the pretty poor eggs up, I just had to chuckle. This was a first and I'll never forget it. Oh Landon! It was an interesting day here at the Remaley household.

Easter egg hunt
This morning we went to our church Easter egg hunt and party. The boys had such a great time. They had all kinds of tables set up with activities. Lukas really enjoyed coloring eggs. Landon went straight to the coloring table and after he was done with that he made a couple bracelets. After doing some activities, they had sandwiches, fruit, veggies, and some snacks. Around 11:00 they got all the kids lined up for the egg hunt. Lukas was so fast and got a ton of eggs. Landon on the other hand, would pick up an egg and have to open it, then put it in his basket. My mom (Nanny) was teaching him what to do and when he finally caught on all the eggs were practically gone. I don't take Landon to church very often since it's around his nap time, so lots of people were amazed how big he's gotten. We got so many comments on how much he's a spitting image of Lukas. They all just can't get over how much they look alike. We think it's pretty amazing too.
It was a great time and the boys really enjoyed themselves:-)

RoadTrip
This morning we got up bright and early and headed to Clearfield with our good friends Mindy and Teets. We went to Grice's Gun Shop, Army Surplus and Denny's Beer Barrel. Of course, the whole trip was about Denny's. The boys had so much fun at Grice's playing in the hunting blinds. After we were finished there, we walked over to the Army Surplus store. It was really neat. They had new and used Army gear. Lukas and I got army hats and Lukas also got this army bag. Mindy and I found these really cute hunting t-shirts for the boys. Ben got a shovel and belt. Of course all the stuff we bought was new:) After we were done shopping, we went to the famous Denny's Beer Barrel Pub. Ben has been wanting to here for so long. Ben and Teets had the 1lb burgers and they both finished it. Ben said that there was know way he could have finished the 2lb which is what he really wanted. In the picture, The big ass burger is Ben's 1 pounder, then the second biggest was mine (regular size), and Lukas and Landon had the mini burgers. They both did so well sitting the whole time and ate very well. Here's their site if anyone wants to check it out. dennysbeerbarrelpub.com
The burgers were delicous and we'll definitely be going back!
When we got back home we followed Mindy and Teets home and picked up their dogs and headed to Roaring Run and spent 2 hours enjoying the beautiful weather. Landon was a real trooper the entire day without a nap! The little bugger wouldn't even sleep in the truck. It was a great day:)

Tub Paints
Tonight the boys got carried away with Landon's tub paints. My sister got him these for his birthday. They smell good and make bubbles too. They were having so much fun that it looked they had been in a paint fight. Of course I had to get pictures of this. Kristy, the boys love the paints:-) THANKS!!

Sunday Stroll
Today we went to Northmoreland Park to enjoy some warm weather for once. When we arrived, we were surprised how much snow was still around. The lake is still frozen. There were actually people out on the lake ice fishing. It was a sloppy mess, but it felt great to get out and walk the 1.1 mile around the lake and enjoy the weather. The boys loved it. Landon loved splashing through the puddles. We were so surprised that Landon walked the whole time and didn't want us to carry him. He always wants to walk every where we go. We haven't used a stroller in months. Lukas on the other hand would jump right in the stroller if we had it...LOL! Regardless of the snow, it was a great, beautiful day:)
All of us are ready for SPRING!

SOCCER
Today we registered Lukas for KA Soccer. He wanted to play last Fall, but we missed sign-ups. He is super excited. They are placing the kids on teams this week and we'll hear from our coach within the next week or two. This evening we went to Dunham's and got him all the gear he needs. When we got home he had to put on the socks, shin guards and his new cleats. He was running around the house like a mad man. He wants to go to practice tomorrow, but I told him they had to first pick the teams. He looks so adorable in the gear. We are so excited about him playing and can't wait to go to all his games. His first game is scheduled for April 10th!!

2 Year check-up
Today, Landon had his 2 year check-up. He absolutely hates going to the doctor. Of course he had to get a shot. He even dislikes getting weighed and measured. Ben is the primary one who takes them to their appointments since I'm at work. I must say that sometimes I feel so lucky that I don't have to deal with it. We both took Landon a few months ago and it was extremely stressful. He doesn't like the nurses or doctors to come near him and definitely does not want them to touch him. This is a stage that will pass. Lukas used to be the same way and now he doesn't mind going to the doctors office. He loves Dr. Gibson!
He is a perfectly healthy 2 year old boy. Dr. Gibson is so amazed how our boys are never sick. We didn't even get them their flu shots this year. He weighed in at 26.5 lbs and is 34.25". His social and learning skills are right on target. She was actually amazed that he knows his colors, shapes and most of the character names from Thomas the train. She said that most two year olds don't know their colors this early. It doesn't really surprise us because he's involved in EVERYTHING his big brother does and says!
We did have Landon at the office back in January because he hasn't been sleeping well. We thought he might have an ear infection and thought we should have him checked out. We made got him in, but not with Dr. Gibson (our regular Dr.). It turned out that he didn't have one and was perfectly healthy. We asked if he has night terrors or night mares and the Dr. said that he is too young for those. So we left the office with advise that this was a stage and will go away at some point.
Needless to say, I had Ben ask our regular Dr. about this situation. She told us that he possibly could have night terrors and it doesn't affect him, but most definitely will affect us...and IS! Ben mentioned that he awakes every morning at 7am no matter what time we put him to bed. She told us that putting him to bed earlier may fix our issue. She thinks that he's not getting enough sleep, especially when he's waking up throughout the night. She also assured us that this is a stage and will soon pass. I do know this, but hope it passes sooner than later!
Just an update:
The latest words he's saying:

Potty Training:
It's going well. He's getting used to his potty and tells us when he has to go. He still has not gone #2 on there yet. He always goes and hides and after he's finished in his pants he'll tell us that he "pooped". I keep telling myself it's early and it will come in time. For the most part, we are pleased with the progress. Just a mental thought/question of mine "why do my kids have to get naked to use the potty? Or, do all kids do this?"
