Our Family Christmas Party

We had our family Christmas party, Saturday, December 27th at our house. This is my favorite time of year. Though, it didn't really feel like Christmas with the temperature being 60 degrees. We actually had some windows and doors open (lol). We had a great time and the boys got lots more presents. Lukas and Landon got some money from Pap and Tracey to put in their savings account. Lukas got JR. PJ's, Thomas the train lumber yard and Landon got clothes, baby tonka trunks, and a stuffed horse from Grandma. Uncle Doug got Lukas two more new trains and got Landon baby tonka trucks (yes he got two of the same gift) haha. It was very funny! We played cards and made lots of great memories. Thanks to everyone for coming and the gifts.

Christmas Day!

Our morning started at 10:30AM  since we didn't get home until 1:30AM. Lukas was jumping up and down with excitement. He couldn't wait to tear into the presents. This is the Christmas that Ben and I have been waiting for. It truly was the best Christmas. Lukas got Thomas at Action Canyon, Neville (this is what he asked Santa for), Nascar toys, Harvey (another train), farm cargo carts, carnival cargo carts, some new cars from the "CARS" movie, hummer truck with a trailor, and more that I'm probably forgetting. Landon got some more clothes (which he needed), v-tech steering wheel, v-tech top spin, cool stacker toy, a baby einstein video "my first moves", and an activity book. 

After we opened gifts, my mom came over with more gifts for the boys and to see what Santa brought. Of course my mom went over board with clothes and some more Thomas the Train gifts. Kristy and Mike also showed up and brought the boys presents. Lukas got the Walle movie and the game for his Leapster and they got Landon "lil munchies" and a very cute outfit. 

Around 3:00, I got the boys ready to go to my dad's house. Ben stayed home to go to bed since he had to go out to work at midnight. While at Pappy Sam's the boys got yet more presents. Lukas got a v-tech digital camera and Thomas the train bath toys. Landon got a learning puppy and a shape cookie jar. The boys sure did have a wonderful Christmas.

Christmas Eve

It's a tradition with my family to go to church Christmas Eve and then to my Nanny and Pappap's house to eat and exchange gifts. Lukas was very excited this year about Christmas. He was eager to go to the church service and couldn't wait to open gifts. This is the first year that he opened all his gifts himself. He got some really great gifts including, a thomas the train computer (his favorite), trains that came with movies, clothes, puzzles, gift cards, gator golf, a skateboard (Thanks Nanny), a new puppy that he named "wiener". Landon was also excited, but he was very tired since it was WAY past his bedtime. He got the playschool zoo train, some stuffed animals, lots of really nice clothes and gift cards. By the time we got home, We were exhausted and had to get the boys to bed so Santa could visit and leave gifts.

 

Winter Wonderland

We got some more snow this weekend and I walked down our street and got some neat pictures. It was absolutely beautiful! It was a heavy snow that laid in the trees for days. Luckily, I got the pictures because today everything melted with the temperature rising to 45 degrees.

Baby's 1st Christmas

We finally decorated our tree this weekend and got Landon his "baby's 1st christmas" ornaments. They are from Hallmark (of course) since all our ornaments are "Hallmark." We got him a Pooh to match with Lukas and also this cute baby bear with the number one. This one is actually a series that continues to his 5th Christmas. Collecting hallmark ornaments is Ben's hobby. We also got Lukas a Thomas the Train ornament. He loves it!

3rd Tooth

Landon's 3rd tooth has broke through. Ben and I were really shocked because we thought, for sure, it was going to be on the top. Now he has three teeth in a row. 

This morning we got up early and took the kids to "AVH Breakfast with Santa" The kids visit with Santa, get a gift, breakfast, cookies, and do crafts. It's really fun. Afterwards, we did some running around at the Galleria. We're able to eat out a restaurant with Landon now that I'm giving him table food. We went to Chili's and Landon didn't fuss once, well except for more food. 

Landon has been walking behind his "push toy" all by himself really well. We think he's on his way to walking very soon. Also, the other day, Landon climbed the top of stairs all by himself. Of course, we were behind him:) I usually let him go up a few times a day, they say it's really good for babies. This is about everything new with us. Hope everyone's doing well.

Gamble Tree Farm

Today, after church, we went to get our Christmas tree at the Gamble Tree Farm. This is our 4th year to return to the farm. It's become a family tradition for us. It's really nice. They have a big barn that you go in afterwards to pay for your tree and you also can look around for ornaments and wreaths. They also have food and drinks and have tractor rides to go pick out your trees. Lukas was a little disappointed because we didn't get to ride the tractor up to the trees. It was super cold, so we drove the xterra up. You have to have 4 wheel drive to go yourself. Sometimes they don't let you drive up if it's too muddy. The ground was frozen so we didn't have any issues. Here are some pictures from the day. Enjoy!
